Hospitality on the Journey
This weekend, St. Philip had the joy of welcoming seven youth and three adult leaders from Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio, as they made an overnight stop on their way to Charleston, South Carolina.
To give them a true North Carolina welcome, we greeted the group with a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts and a case of Cheerwine—two local favorites! After spending the night in our Fellowship Hall, they joined us for our 9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship Service on Sunday morning before continuing their journey.
We are grateful for the opportunity to offer hospitality to fellow Lutherans traveling in service and faith. We pray for God's blessings on their time in Charleston and for safe travels as they continue their journey.
“Dear St. Philip family:
THANK YOU for granting us refuge! You have a beautiful church campus.
The Cheerwine & KK - scrumptious!
The floors - so cozy!
The A/C - so necessary!
Please let us know if Lord of Life in Columbus can ever help your community.”
We give thanks for the opportunity to welcome fellow Lutherans on their journey and pray for God's blessings on their time in Charleston, as well as safe travels wherever the road leads them next.
