Youth Ministry at St. Philip

(6th – 12th Grade)

Middle and High School can be messy — and we join in the mess with laughs, authentic community, and creativity.

Connected to a faith community St. Philip youth can call home, our goal is to build up spiritually grounded confident leaders and servants of God.

Upcoming Events

(Next 6 Weeks)

  • Join us as we begin Holy Week with Palm Sunday worship at both 9am & 11am.

  • Join us as we celebrate hope and love winning on the biggest day of Holy Week with Easter Sunday worship at both 9am & 11am. Jesus is Risen!

  • We’ll join Good Shepherd on an outdoorsy outing to enjoy some spring weather from 4-7pm. For more details please reach out to Kai

  • Join us as we gather with other youth in grades 6-12 from other youth groups in the Triangle (and surrounding) areas! We’ll have a night full of fun, games, snacks, pizza, and more! For more details, please reach out to Kai

  • Join us from 12:45-1:45pm in the church library as we dive into the sacrament of Holy Communion!

  • Join us here at St. Philip from 4-7 pm as we have a BUNCO night with our friends from Good Shepherd’s Youth Group!

    BUNCO is a fun, quick paced, social dice game! Join us for fun, food, and fellowship!

  • We’ll join Good Shepherd’s youth for a fun evening of games of all kinds and some delicious S’mores from 4-7 pm. For more details, please reach out to Kai

  • Join us in the church parking lot starting at 5pm for an evening of fun, fellowship, and celebration as we close out another programming year of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry before we jump into the summer!

    Bring your bikes, scooters, helmets, etc. for some fun in the parking lot! We’ll also have some balls and outdoor games for all to enjoy.

    All children, youth, parents/guardians, and family members are encouraged and welcome to join! If you feel so moved, you are welcome to bring a dessert or drink to share!

Events, Retreats, & Trips

Each year our youth have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events, an overnight retreat in the fall and in the spring, and a week-long mission trip during the summer.

Youth Group Gatherings

Once a month on Sunday evenings (6–7:30 pm), our youth gather for fun, friendship, and a short devotion. For a schedule, contact Kai using the form below.

Discipleship Academy

Also known as Confirmation, Discipleship Academy seeks to provide opportunities for students to be able to claim ownership of their faith and to make their faith journey their own. We acknowledge that each student and personal faith journey is unique and we hope to give students the desire and tools to continue learning and growing as disciples in the world.

Worship

Our middle and high school youth are involved in every aspect of our worship services. They serve in volunteer roles, help lead the service, or participate in the pews or at home virtually.
