Make a Difference Through Love in Action

At St. Philip, we believe faith comes alive through love in action. Compassionate service is one of the ways we respond to God’s grace—by showing up for our neighbors, meeting real needs, and working for a more just and generous world. Whether you're called to serve locally, globally, or within the life of our church, there’s a place for your gifts, your passion, and your heart to make a difference.

Serving the Community through Outreach

Our Primary Community Ministry Partners

  • Families Together works to end family homelessness through direct support and advocacy by providing short-term housing, affordable housing access, rental assistance, mentoring, life-skills support, and connections to community resources for families with children.

  • Refugee Hope Partners helps refugees in Raleigh adapt and build new lives by providing education, wellness, spiritual & community support, advocacy, and other resources so that refugees can go from arriving to thriving.

  • Using a holistic approach, North Raleigh Ministries offers food support, coaching, and spiritual and emotional care for neighbors in several North Raleigh zip codes so they can heal from crisis, build resilience, and thrive.

Our Approach

Meeting Needs:
In 2022, our Community Needs Assessment revealed that the most pressing challenges in North Raleigh were growing food insecurity and rising housing instability.

Maximizing Impact:
Instead of reinventing the wheel, we dedicate our time, energy, and resources to supporting three local nonprofits already doing the vital work of meeting these needs in our community.
