Outreach with Refugee Hope Partners
As one of our closest ministry partners, we support Refugee Hope Partners in walking alongside refugee families throughout the year. Whether through hands-on service, relationship-building, or behind-the-scenes support, our community helps make a lasting impact. If any of the following opportunities interest you, please contact Kai to get connected.
Brown Bag Ministries Food Packing (Twice per Month)
On the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, we pack and deliver 400+ bagged lunches to a nearby community in partnership with Refugee Hope Partners. It’s a simple, hands-on way to share food and care with our neighbors.
There are many ways to get involved: join the team that picks up fruit or bread, help set up or break down the room, pack the lunches, or deliver them to the community. However you serve, you’ll be part of a team making a real difference.
Diaper Bank Donations (Monthly)
Each month, we partner with the Diaper Bank of NC and Refugee Hope Partners to distribute diapers and feminine hygiene products to families in our community. A dedicated team of volunteers helps sort, label, and share these essentials with care.
Coat Collection (October/November)
As the weather turns colder, we partner with Refugee Hope Partners to collect new and gently used coats for families in need. Sometimes we simply gather donations, and other times we help distribute them through a special sale that not only provides warmth and comfort but also helps families feel valued and seen.
Summer Reading Buddy Day (June/July)
Each summer, we join Refugee Hope Partners for one day at their day camp, where volunteers spend an hour one-on-one with refugee children as they practice reading, English, and math. It’s a simple yet deeply rewarding way to encourage and support young learners.
School Supply Collection Drive (July)
Each year, we partner with Refugee Hope Partners and Families Together to collect school supplies for the children in their programs. These donations ensure kids in our community are equipped for a strong and positive start to the school year.
Angel Tree (November/December)
Each Christmas, we partner with Refugee Hope Partners to provide culturally appropriate gifts for children and families in their program. Instead of traditional wrapped presents, our faith community donates a variety of gift cards (ranging from $5–$100), which Refugee Hope Partners uses to bless families during the holiday season.
Volunteering with Refugee Hope Partners (Ongoing)
Many in our faith community serve individually with Refugee Hope Partners, most often through their Homework Help program, but also in a variety of other ways. It’s a meaningful opportunity to build relationships and walk alongside refugee families in our community.
