Triangle Area Lock-In Brings Youth Together

This past Friday into Saturday, youth from across the Triangle gathered at Good Shepherd in Raleigh for an exciting overnight lock-in. Seven congregations came together, bringing a total of 68 participants for a night full of connection, energy, and fun.

The event created a great opportunity for youth to build friendships beyond their own churches while sharing in games, activities, and community. Of course, no lock-in would be complete without great food—there was pizza, a midnight movie showing, and an almost unbelievable amount of snacks that youth brought to share with one another.

One of the biggest highlights of the night was a giant game of “Grog”! If you’re not familiar with Grog, we encourage you to ask one of our youth about it—they’ll be more than happy to tell you why it was such a hit.

Events like this remind us of the strength and joy that comes from gathering together. Local congregations are already looking forward to continuing this kind of collaboration and creating even more shared experiences in youth ministry in the future.
